Fade the Public Saturdays
During the heart of the College Basketball season, which we are currently in, there are nearly 100 conference games across the board on Saturdays. Saturday brings in the most public attention, because most people don’t work and have time to watch the games, meaning that public opinion will be working its greatest influence on the weekends. Games that receive an average amount of betting action, or more, plus one side is receiving 75% or more of the public favor, have more times than not, ended with a victory for the minority (those fading the public side). Furthermore, teams with recent public defeats are even more successful at bouncing back in these spots. This is one of the many variables that we include in our calculations whenever we are deciding on which side to back on Saturday College Hoops games.
